Morocco's King Mohammed VI, dedicated in Casablanca a cold-rolling complex. Maghreb Steel built this unit, which will produce 250,000 tons, at an investment of 500 million Dirhams ($43.47 million), that will generate 400 direct jobs. Maghreb Steel, which markets cold-rolled and galvanized iron and steel, was set up in 1975. The company posted a turnover of 620 million Dirhams ($ 53.91 million) in 2001. It exports its output to a.o. Spain, England, Tunisia, Cote D'Ivoire and Burkina Faso.
