Some main goals of steel industry’s expansion in Iran till 2021
- Reach to the 54.6 MMT/Y steel products which is 3.5% of world steel
product.
- Supply the most domestic needs
- Export about 10.5 MMT/Y steel products and reach 2% of world steel export
- Increase of productivity to the level of world standards and access to the
competitive prices
- Improve quality and standard of products by consideration of customers’
needs
- Improving the know-how level in all dependent fields and access to modern
and recent knowledge in steel industry
- Maximum use of country’s raw materials
- To decrease environmental pollution and access to world standards in this
industry
- To absorb and expand private and foreign investment
