According to the plans, steel production in Iran is expected to increase up to 25 million tons in the next five years. At present, more than 67 percent of the total production of steel in the country is being produced by Isfahan Steel Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company. The existence of steel behemoths like these directly or indirectly give scope to the formation of hundreds of related industries like metallurgy, forging, molding, associations, universities, relevant scientific centers of steel and metallurgy.
"The 3rd International Exhibition of Steel and Related industries" provided an exchange of views between internal and external industrialists and traders.
This biggest exhibition ever in the Middle East, covering major steel and steel supporting industries, has concluded successfully. The five-day event organized by SACO from 25-29th July 2005 in Isfahan and sponsored by MEsteel.com has witnessed participation from many well known companies in the steel industry.
The exhibition attracted 21.750 visitors from all over the world. 120 companies participated in the exhibition to expand their business relations with Iranian steel manufacturers. Of the local exhibitors, 40% of the companies were from Tehran, 48% participating companies were from Isfahan, and the remaining 12% companies were from other provinces like Yazd, Azarbaijan, Khorasan.
There was participation from companies in UAE, France, Argentina, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Pakistan as well.
Isfahan fair provided a complete overview of the whole steel and related industries with the participation of companies from industrial sectors such as Mines and Mine Technology, Raw Materials, Equipments, Permanent Casting, Profile and Sheet Production by Hot Rolling, Cold Rolling, Coated Sheet Production (Tin Coated, Galvanized, etc), Modern Technologies In Steel Production, Ferroalloys, Refractory, Supporting , Repairing and Related Services, Forging, Machining, Coating, Powder Metallurgy, Pipe Production, Welding and Heat Treatment.
